Update

Today I received calls from the hospital to set up two appointments, a pediatric neurology and EEG (checks the brain waves). The pediatric neurology appointment is June 8th and the EEG is June 11th. The appointments feel like light years away, but with the excitement of my youngest brother marrying a wonderful women of God, I hope time will fly by. So even if the appointments would have been sooner it may have been too much of a whirlwind for us to enjoy their great celebration.
As of today Jadelyn is doing great. She is loving life and enjoying getting people to wave and smile at her. I know she did not get her outgoing personality for either of us. It must be from those silly uncles, aunties and cousins=).
If Jadelyn continues as she has been, I hope to post of the fun day we had with family.

In God's Hands

This weekend we had a scare with Jadelyn. Here is what happened. On Sunday we were leaving Kyle parent's house and Kyle was carrying Jadelyn, who flopped backwards as sometimes she does. But as Kyle pulled her up he sees her eyes rolled back and she was twitching. He put her on the floor and I called for Kyle's mom who is a retired nurse. She was non responsive and occasionally stopped breathing. I grab the phone to call 911. I could barely control the tears as I tell the information needed. While my mother-in-law is doing rescue breathing, two thoughts ran through my mind, No God do not take her, the flesh speaking, then it changes to God she is yours and you have given her to me I need to trust you. Finally the firemen show up and Jadelyn has finally come around and is more responsive. As they are checking her out the ambulance shows up, by now she is crying loudly, unsure of what is going on because of the noise and all the people. We put her in the ambulance and off to the ER we go. Now my little girl is back and they are not too concerned about her having another one and tell me that she is doing well.
Now at the ER the doctor tells us that he is concerned about the seizure because Jadelyn has never recorded a fever before and that night due to things the firefighters and EMT's never got an accurate temperature. And when we got to the hospital her temperature was normal. He was thinking that the seizure was not due to Jadelyn's body cooling off. He want to rule out spinal meningitis. Blood work, urine, chest X-ray and a CAT scan all come back negative. Thank you Lord!!! The doctor says that one seizure at this age is ok, but if she has more they will have to work with her to control them.
So as of right now Jadelyn has been referred to a neurologist. Hopefully we will be hearing from them to get an appointment soon.
Monday and today my precious girl is back to herself. She is doing great!!! As for Kyle and myself first we focus on putting Jadelyn in God's hands. She is His and He knows what is going on. Next we have to treat her basically like we did before. Our hope and prayer is it was a one time episode, but know God has a plan for her and we need to trust Him.

Fun days

The instructor of the photo class that I am taking suggested having a photo blog and posting at least on picture a day. Well I am so to try to combining having a photo blog and this one. I know that I will not post one picture a day, but you might see a few pictures in one.

The class has given me a few helpful tips, but honestly the class is for a person who doesn't really know how to use a point and shot camera. But I can tell you that I have been taking a whole lot more pictures. Plus I love having my camera back. But I forgot to take my camera to Jadelyn's first hair cut. I will post pictures as soon as I get them from the camera phone I used!!
Yesterday was a huge bless that Kyle was off of work while it was still light out!!! So we went for a evening walk. It was so nice to get outside and be with my family!

Feeding time

Jadelyn is starting to get the idea of feeding herself. This is how it has been going. I fork the food and give her the fork to eat. But you will notice she has to have a fork of her own in her other hand. She is getting the idea!!! Soon we can both eat at the same time, without me having to help her.

Why so many blogs today

My little girl has been sleeping the morning away. I put her down last night at 7:30 and still at 10 this morning she is still sleeping. She has not been napping well, thinking it is teething=( She also many be growing!
I had a wonderful friend who offered to take Jadelyn this morning so I could get some things done by myself today, but guess that is not happening. I having been a quiet morning reading the bible and being still before Him. And now blogging.

Kyle has been working hard, in his spare time, to get the front yard looking nice. He is hoping to seed it soon. It will be great to have some grass. Jadelyn loves every minute she can get with Daddy. So he has to combine being with Jadelyn and yard work. So he can up with the bright idea of putting Jadelyn in the wagon and use it to move stuff, in this case rocks.

Beating the heat

It has been so hot here that we are finding ways to beat the heat. I am not looking forward to the summer months ahead of us. But we know several people with pools, we have a kiddie pool, then we can always be creative in finding things to do inside.

Jadelyn loves the feel of flowing water and is checking out the hose.

Palm Springs Tramway

For Cousin Mckenna's Christmas present we told her that we would take her up the Palm Springs tramway!! We finally found a time that worked for all of us. We were able to have her for the night as well, which meant more time with her!! Mckenna and Jadelyn were both excited to spend time with each other.
We had a great time. It took awhile for Mckenna and Jadelyn to like the tram itself, but they got into and liked the ride down better. We walked around and enjoyed God's beauty.

I got my camera back from the shop. I have been taking pictures whenever I can. I feel I have missed my little girl growing up. So here are a few pictures.

No working camera

Several weeks ago the flash on my camera stopped working. I had to send my camera in the shop to see what was wrong. Therefore I have not been able to take pictures in a long time and do not know when I will will be able to take more =( So here are some pictures I have had left on the card. Sorry they are not the best. But I hope to be getting better because I will be taking a photography class with a friend!! Just need a camera!!

Jadelyn has had so many cute moments and no camera to use. She fell asleep when Daddy took her out in the stroller, going on a wagon ride with Daddy, having cousins visit, crawling up stairs (thanks to Auntie Kris teaching her the week before). Wow how much I miss having a working camera to catch her growing up. I think that she has changed so much since I took these pictures a few weeks ago! She is still on her way to learning how to walk. I think one day she will surprise us and just walk away. She also has several teeth coming in. Last week was not a pretty one.
It has been so long since I blogged that I cannot remember all that we have done. Kyle is bouncing back and forth between working full time and part time. We never know what our week is going to hold. We are blessed to know that he still has a job. We have wedding and parties coming up. Welcome to the summer!
