Old friends and new friends

Laura a close friend from High school and youth group is in So Cal. visiting the family for the holidays. Laura and her family found time to squeeze us into their busy schedule yesterday. It was short trip, well worth it and so much fun. One of their little girls, Sally is Jadelyn's age. It cute to see them play together.
So what do two girls who are near the beach and have fond memories there do, we go!! Plus Laura and the family live in Wisconsin. The weather was not the best, chilly and very windy. But that did not stop us from having a good time.

At the end when we were leaving Jadelyn walked off by herself not sure where she is going, but so cute

Here come Santa

Sunday night we had the wonderful opportunity to spend time with Jule. Little did we know that is was going to include seeing Santa!
Having fun, Kyle and Jules

We went out for a wagon ride in the neighbor to look at Christmas lights.

As we were out a neighbor told us Santa might be coming around. The some law enforcement officers and car and firetrucks and firefighters come out into the neighbors with Santa and Sparky, it is like a little paraded. It was great we could hear the sirens far off and wait for them to get closer.
They stopped at the end of our street

An officer posing with us for a pic

Jule waiting for Sant to come

All of us next to Santa sleigh

Jadelyn blowing kiss as they left

They passed out candy cranes so we let Jule go home on a sugar high.=) Jadelyn loved waving to all the cars and truck, but was scared of the loud firetruck sirens. Don't blame her they are loud. It was a great evening seeing Santa and hanging out. It was also a great way to start off the Christmas week.

Its is beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

Jadelyn loves trains and this little train was fascinating to her. She would want to chase it as it when by.
The police car was parked at the mall and Jadelyn thought it was great to see a real police car.

Let's go fly a kite

The windy season is upon us. What a better way to spend the day than flying a kite. Jadelyn helped pick out the kite at Costco and away we went. There is a wash near our house that we enjoy walking to and it is the perfect place to fly the kite.

Daddy's little helper

The other day Kyle fixing our bathtub facet. Struggling not to get frustrated with the situation, Jadelyn show up with her backpack of tools to help Daddy. Jadelyn saw Daddy in need and all by herself decided to get her tools to help out. It was the cutest, sweetest thing. It brought a smile to Daddy's face. And blessed our hearts that she would think to do such a sweet thing.
I am here Daddy, which tool do you need?

These are the ones that I would use

O Christmas Tree

We have gone Christmas tree shopping awhile ago but we did not have enough lights so the tree stayed undecorated for awhile. But now the tree is completely decorated. I love having the tree up. And Jadelyn loves to see the lights turned on every morning.
Since I have dated Kyle we went to cut down our own tree with his Mom. Last year we discovered how easy Home Depot was at getting a good looking tree. Plus the prices were great. This year was off to Lowe's.

Lowe's here we come

The first Christmas tree Daddy picked out, but then saw the price

The next tree Daddy picked out and Jadelyn is happy with his choice

Having a good time shopping for trees

Jadelyn is sure the littlee helper, gave the tags to the cashier and also the money. She is still holding on to the tag because she is so proud of herself

Ready to drive the tree home!

Ginger bread creations

Our church has an awesome tradition of having a ginger bread creation competition each year. It is a great time hanging out and having fun. This year we tried to build a bridge out of graham crackers, icing and candy. With the help of our little one.
