Christmas time fun

We have been to a few Christmas things this year.  It is fun to see Jadelyn really starting to understand the meaning of Christmas.

Christmas tree shopping and decorating with Grandma Michele, cousins Kayla and Trista and Aunt Christie.

Ginger bread competition at our church.

Kody loved eating the decorations

The police and fire department put on a parade that goes around town. Jadelyn was waiting for a long time for them to come to her house.

9 months

So I am a little behind in blogging and on taking Kody's 9 month pictures.  This kid is crazy.  He is standing up by himself for long period of times.  He can bend down and stand back up without falling over.  He took his first steps before Thanksgiving.  Now he is letting go and taking a few steps at a time.  Soon he will be walking!

Hike

I got sick before Thanksgiving and was well enough to go, but poor Kyle got it and was sick the day of Thanksgiving.  We decided we needed a little bit of family time, so we took a nice little hike near by.  It had trains and fire trucks which made Jadelyn happy. Kody was just so excited to be outside.

Jadelyn loves fire trucks

Thankful

Last Thanksgiving I remember writing a post about being thankful that Jadelyn had been seizure free for a year.  I can still be thankful for that year, but now her having another is more in the forefront of my mind.  When she recently got sick, I kept telling myself that she is on medication and that it should not happen again, but I kept wondering if she might have another one.  We started to see some signs of what happened before she her seizures.  She started being really tired and not responding to our questions so we made an appointment to take her in.  Should have told her that earlier because she perked up in knowing that she was going to the doctor and seeing Grandma Gail. I am thankful for not having to deal with another seizure.
I realized that I have forgotten to give an update on her. In early November Jadelyn went back for a check up. Everything looks good. The doctor said this time he thinks we should wait two years before weening her back off her medication. That was good news because I am not ready to try again. She had blood work to do and she was a champ about it.  Even impressed the person doing it.
