Joe's Birthday Party

Joe turns the big 30 today!! Happy Birthday little bro!!! There was a big party for him this past weekend. Lots of people, lots of food and lots of fun. It was a sports theme and we competed in some games. And I had more fun playing then I did winning (because I did not win that many games.)

Berry Pickin'

My mom took three of Jadelyn's cousins and invited us along to pick some strawberries and raspberries at Riley's Farm in Oak Glen. What a fun way to spend a summers day.
Getting ready to pick some berries

We took a "hey" ride up to pick the raspberries
Gabe eying some good berries
Having a good time picking

Grandma Gail helping Jadelyn find some good berries
Jules is showing us what she got

Jules was helping Jadelyn, what a sweetheart

My little one was not so interested in picking berries as she was in the dirt.
Strawberries were not as fun as the raspberries so the cousins happily played together as my mom and I finished filling the baskets

Jadelyn fall backwards on Kenna and thought she was a nice seat. Kenna was a great sport and waited for me to move Jadelyn

Love the faces

Mammoth day 4 and 5

We had a very cold night were we had to borrow another sleeping bag and have Jadelyn sleep with us to stay warm. We woke up looking forward to seeing Kyle's sister and her family.
Grandma Michele with her three granddaughters
As the morning wore on I kept hoping that it would warm up. But that was not the case. Before we left to go on the hike for the day I bought Jadelyn and myself matching sweatshirts to keep us warm. Thankful we did because it was hailing and snowing!!!

Here we all stopped at Devil's PostPile to take some pics before we moved on, trying to keep warm
During our hike down the weather started to clear up!!! What a beautiful waterfall
All of us that climb to the bottom of the falls
Jadelyn hanging out in the backpack
After a day of hiking we, had a wonderful dinner. We were extremely thankful for a shower as well.
Jadelyn got to spend more time with her cousins. You would never know that we did not get that much sleep during the day because she partied to 9 at night.

That night Jadelyn had it rough. For what ever reason she screamed and cried when we had gotten back to the campsite. Jadelyn finally calmed down and Jadelyn and I spent the night in the trailer. We were very thankful in the morning since it was the coolest night.
As we were packing up in the morning Kyle realized that he had lost his ring sometime in the last day. We looked and looked for it but could not find it. Sadly we had to leave=(
Along the way we stopped at Convict Lake to stretch our legs before the long drive home.

Mammoth Day 3

This morning we were still blessed to have my parents with us, since they spent the night. Before they headed home we went on a short little hike. It was not too cold this morning, but at the top, the wind made it chilly.
My two loves

After our hike my parents left and we went looking for gold.
Here Jadelyn is roaring as she climbs up a rock

The gold hunt lead us down a dirt road. Jadelyn had been incredibly patient in the car for a long time so we rewarded her with a little wind in her hair.
