Sleep over

About three weeks ago (can't believe it has been that long) Jadelyn had her turn to have a sleep over at her cousins house. She was so excited about it! I was told she did great. She looks she could be part of the family and fit right in. My mom also went down and she got some pictures. I hoped for more but their were busy and had so much fun! I personally did not know what to do with myself. She is a great kid but full of energy and always on the go. Jadelyn Auntie Carlee a run for her money. Kody enjoyed the individually time but missed his big sister a lot.

We had the pleasure of heading up the hill to spend sometime some of the cousins. They had so much together. I think I say that every time=) but they do. It is fun for us to spend time whenever we can.

Feeding ducks

Ashley and her lit guy Randy were able to come up to the mountains with us one day. It is so much fun to hang out with her and Jadelyn loves hanging out with Randy. We took the kids to feed the ducks. It is so much fun to see their excitement over feeding them. It was a wonderful day and a wonderful time hanging out.

4th of July

This year for the 4th of July we had some family invite us to watch the fireworks at University of Redlands. We are so glad we went because it was so much fun. Plus the buildings around us were old and made it easy to take good pictures of them.

Randy and Jadelyn are so cute together. They share things so well. I get asked if they are brother and sister. One would see why.

3rd of July

We did our annual Lake Arrowhead firework hike to the Pinnacles. This year we had to two kids to carry up. It was a little more challenging due to that fact. But it was fun. We invited some friends this time. They enjoyed it but was not expecting the type of hike it was. It was wonderful to have Tim, Ellen, Malcolm and my parents along with us to for the second year. Next year we want to do it but Jadelyn will have to walk, because she is getting so big.

Back Yard Bible Club

Our church did a version of VBS this year with a beach theme. I did crafts again with my wonderful friend Aimee. She is fantastic to work with. This was the first year that Jadelyn could participate. She had a little trouble having me be there and being off with her group. She did great for the most part and it was a fun year.

I have started to feed my little big guy solid food. Boy was it been a production. Jadelyn wants to help and there are lots of things that I for Kody. Then Jadelyn wants one of what Kody has.
The first time around we just put Kody at the table with us trying to him use to sitting. But I give him a bib and spoon, then need them for Jadelyn as well. That night we had avocado, which Jadelyn put on her finger and put it in his month. She would yell in excitement "his is eating my finger!" It was funny. Kody did not eat anything but Jadelyn thought it was the greatest thing to have her brother sit at the table.

Next we tried rice cereal, to really start solids. Jadelyn wanted help so bad. So I let her feed him so I could take pictures. Again both had to have a bib and a spoon. Kody took a spoon that she really wanted. It was so cute to see her try to talk with Kody in a sweet manor to get her spoon back. After a while Jadelyn was done with feeding him so Grandma Gail had to step in a finish feed him. Plus he was pushing the food back out. The next time Jadelyn would not keep up with Kody. He eat so much that I had to mix bananas in. Which he was not to happy with. It was been a fun time feeding him.
