Fun day with Daddy

One day this week Kyle got the day off. We had a great day together. What a better way to start the day than a gorgeous view like this from our house

Then we stay outside for awhile to enjoy the view.
After hanging out and going to In and Out for lunch, Kyle took Jadelyn outside to do some yard work.
Helping Daddy in the front yard is so much fun!
Look how much help I am.

Snow, Snow, Snow

I have wanting cold weather, to feel like winter. We got a winter storm finally!!! So I packed us up and headed to Grandma's house in the mountains. It was a little crazy, but we made it safely. Now I got my fix for snow for awhile.
Two of Jadelyn's cousins were up as well. They all had a great time in the snow and playing together. Then her two cousins came back with us to spend the night. It was so much fun. Sleepover!!
Jadelyn loving the snow.

Having fun

Help, save me from my crazy cousins!!

Misc. Thanksgiving to Christmas

Jadelyn was feeling well enough to go to both sides of the family for Thanksgiving. As you can see she had a great time with all of her cousins. Unfortunately, Kyle got sick and stayed home from work for two days=( But it was nice to have him around and he enjoyed seeing Jadelyn more.

Since I have known Kyle, he and his mom have always cut down their own Christmas tree. I have loved this since I always had an artificial tree growing up. This year they heard of great deals at home improvement stores. So off we went, in just a few minutes we had our tree and we were back in the car. This was nice compared to the hours of hunting for the best tree in the past. Wow, I never know it could be so simple. We now have all our decorations up. Now I am only waiting for the weather to stay cool because I want it to feel like Christmas.

Christmas Tree Shopping with Grandma Michele!!

Tree shopping is serious business
Having too much fun.
I love Christmas tree shopping, especially with DaddyOur Tree1

We received an early Christmas gift, but it did not fit under the tree. New closet!! I cannot tell you how grateful I am. Our old closet was livable with metal racks and shelves. But we had bins of stuff on the ground and the clothes would get squish together and winkle. Kyle’s dad made our new closet, with beautiful wood drawers. What an awesome gift. We feel like we are living in a luxury hotel room. We have huge spacious drawers and room on the floor. For more storage we can put in shelves later. I love our new closet!!!

Thanksgiving

Yesterday Jadelyn was 8 months old. So what did we do…we spent it at the doctor. The poor thing has had a cough and runny nose for most of the month but the last couple of day she started to get worse. The news from the doctor is she has a slight case of pneumonia. One may never know by the amount of energy she still has.

After watching War movies and others like Hotel Rwanda I realize how thankful I am for so many different things. I know that I cannot express how thankful I am in words.

Beside the obvious of my husband, Jadelyn and family here is what I am thankful for:

For the freedom to praise God

For the sacrifices of men and women who have served and are serving as well as their family and loved ones.

For the opportunity to go to the doctors to receive care

For being able to enjoy God’s beautiful creation

For my house and everything in it

My list could go on with every little thing but right now these are the basic.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

24 Redemption

For those of you like me that did not watch 24 last night for whatever reason here is the link to watch it online. You might have to download something to watch it. Now all I am waiting for is time with my hubby to watch it! Can't wait!
Sorry I cannot figure out how to make it a direction link. You will have to copy and paste.=(

Firsts

Jadelyn had a lot of first this week...

First In and Out burger – she might be hooked

First yogurt - she ate 3 bowls full!!

First lowering of the bed – she is starting to pull up

First chocolate - thanks to Auntie Carlee, that is what Aunties are for?!

First play - she watched Mckenna’s Thanksgiving play, who was the star of the play

First time Christmas dress shopping – she is going to be cute in it

Some day I hope that I will be able to have great news about her crawling, but she is so happy and content with life. She is my sweet little girl and am loving every minute with her.

I cannot believe how much she eats, 3 bowls of yogurt, 1 bowl of green beans and rice mix and 1 container of sweet potatoes. That is only one meal! How does she have room for it all? She must have to eat so much because she spends all her energy trying to get people to pay her some attention.

The other day while shopping she was yelling, I thought it was because she was unhappy. I picker her up and she still made the same noise. I figured out she would yell and look around to see if anyone was smiling back at her, but with those big blue eyes and contagious smile it is not hard to get a smile back.

Bath Time

Jadelyn is getting very close to taking off on all fours. She might start crawling in the tub first. She likes being on her tummy in the tub. She can scoot her way across the tub.

Halloween

For Halloween Jadelyn and I headed down to Fallbrook to see Joe, Kim, Michael and Little Lizzie. My mom was also there to hang out. They took us to a real pumpkin patch and I got great pictures.
Jadelyn having so much fun.
Michael and Jadelyn getting their pictures taken. They both seem to know what do when there is a camera around.
I just love this picture of the two of us.
Joe's church was having a fall festival so I dressed Jadelyn up as Tinkerbell. What a cutie. We had a great time.
Jadelyn and Lizzie... aren't they so cute. Jadelyn was fascinated with her little cousin.
It was cooler at night so I put her in a Tigger outfit. She sure got into being a tiger. Looks like she is a having a roaring good time
Jadelyn had a great time with her cousins! Jadelyn was touching Lizzie and her big brother Michael came to the rescue of his little sister. It was so cute.
Jadelyn loved her Uncle Joe, especially the gorilla or caveman custom he wore. She loved playing with its hair. She had a great time hanging out with him and being shown off.

Weekend with our niece

For our niece’s birthday present we gave her a day with us doing what she wants. I am not sure who had more fun. I love giving presents like this!!! Mckenna asked to spend the night (our first overnight guest!!) and to go to the Living Desert. We pick her up and went to a local church that was selling pumpkins. Jadelyn was not impressed with the pumpkins but thought the hay was more interesting. Of course, Jadelyn didn't want to smile for the camera. Mckenna ran around and loved playing. We had a ton of fun!!
Three Pumpkins!!

The Girls!!
Our Little Pumpkin
The next morning we headed out early. Jadelyn loved having a friend in the back seat with her. We first headed to feed the giraffes, at Mckenna’s request. We had no complaints. We love feeding them too, but watch out for their 18 in tongues and the slime. Mckenna had so much fun, but Jadelyn was not to sure about the long necked animal. We had a ton of fun seeing animals, everything from cheetahs to butterflies. We ended our time there playing at the park. Wow so much fun!!
After the park we went to McDonald’s, every kid’s kind of fun! Then on to the Dinosaurs in Cabazon!! What a fun day!! Thanks Mckenna for a great day.

Time, wind and dress

Time seems to be flying by right now. Some days are busy and other just relaxing (but those days seem to more of a blur, not too much to remember). It was cooler here last week plus we have the gale force Santa Ann winds. The winds might make life interesting. We have heard a pastor tells stories that had me a little concerned. But now with the warm weather the cares have slipped away.
Jadelyn received several every cute dresses that were too large for her and thought I would never see her in them. So with the weather warm I put her in them when I can and of course take pictures.
Here are some pictures of the good times.
