Snow, Snow, Snow
Two of Jadelyn's cousins were up as well. They all had a great time in the snow and playing together. Then her two cousins came back with us to spend the night. It was so much fun. Sleepover!!

Misc. Thanksgiving to Christmas
Since I have known Kyle, he and his mom have always cut down their own Christmas tree. I have loved this since I always had an artificial tree growing up. This year they heard of great deals at home improvement stores. So off we went, in just a few minutes we had our tree and we were back in the car. This was nice compared to the hours of hunting for the best tree in the past. Wow, I never know it could be so simple. We now have all our decorations up. Now I am only waiting for the weather to stay cool because I want it to feel like Christmas.
We received an early Christmas gift, but it did not fit under the tree. New closet!! I cannot tell you how grateful I am. Our old closet was livable with metal racks and shelves. But we had bins of stuff on the ground and the clothes would get squish together and winkle. Kyle’s dad made our new closet, with beautiful wood drawers. What an awesome gift. We feel like we are living in a luxury hotel room. We have huge spacious drawers and room on the floor. For more storage we can put in shelves later. I love our new closet!!!

Thanksgiving
Yesterday Jadelyn was 8 months old. So what did we do…we spent it at the doctor. The poor thing has had a cough and runny nose for most of the month but the last couple of day she started to get worse. The news from the doctor is she has a slight case of pneumonia. One may never know by the amount of energy she still has.
After watching War movies and others like Hotel Rwanda I realize how thankful I am for so many different things. I know that I cannot express how thankful I am in words.
Beside the obvious of my husband, Jadelyn and family here is what I am thankful for:
For the freedom to praise God
For the sacrifices of men and women who have served and are serving as well as their family and loved ones.
For the opportunity to go to the doctors to receive care
For being able to enjoy God’s beautiful creation
For my house and everything in it
My list could go on with every little thing but right now these are the basic.
Happy Thanksgiving!!

Firsts
Jadelyn had a lot of first this week...
First In and Out burger – she might be hooked
First yogurt - she ate 3 bowls full!!
First lowering of the bed – she is starting to pull up
First chocolate - thanks to Auntie Carlee, that is what Aunties are for?!
First play - she watched Mckenna’s Thanksgiving play, who was the star of the play
First time Christmas dress shopping – she is going to be cute in it
Some day I hope that I will be able to have great news about her crawling, but she is so happy and content with life. She is my sweet little girl and am loving every minute with her.
I cannot believe how much she eats, 3 bowls of yogurt, 1 bowl of green beans and rice mix and 1 container of sweet potatoes. That is only one meal! How does she have room for it all? She must have to eat so much because she spends all her energy trying to get people to pay her some attention.
The other day while shopping she was yelling, I thought it was because she was unhappy. I picker her up and she still made the same noise. I figured out she would yell and look around to see if anyone was smiling back at her, but with those big blue eyes and contagious smile it is not hard to get a smile back.
