Valentine's Day Hike

For the last two years we have gone on a hike for Valentine's Day. This year we had to to it a day early. Never the less it was a fun adventure. We thought this was going to be a easy hike and it would have been if there was not an almost three year old who wanted to do what she wanted and a very pregnant person. It took us much longer than we expected because one of us was always slowing things down. But the hike was beautiful and the weather was warm.
To help encourage Jadelyn to keep moving we strapped the dogs leash on her. She was wanting to go every which way except the way of the trail. Of course she thought it was the greatest thing.
After a very long time we finally make it to the top. It was well worth the long hike!

I just love the sense of adventure Jadelyn has. She was playing in the dirt climbing up rocks, jumping to Kyle off the rocks, walking around and exploring by herself.
Jadelyn did a good deal of walking on the hike. She was a really trooper about being out and hiking. But if she was not walking Kyle was caring her. So the two of them after a long day fell asleep together.

Berlin Wall

Super Bowl Sunday we decided to take a walk. Kyle had heard that there was a Ronald Regan Park in walking distance that had a piece of the Berlin Wall. Not even realizing it until we go that that it would have been Ronald Regan's 100th birthday. It was amazing to see a piece of history in our backyard. It was a beautiful day and nice to get some exercise in before the game.

After going to the wall we went to another park to let Jadelyn play and get some energy out. She loves playing with Kyle. And they of course can do things that I can't at the moment. They had a ton of fun playing together.

Helmet

This is the helmet that she got at Kody's shower. She has been telling Kody thank you for it over and over again and giving him kisses. It is really cute!
Kyle took her out on her bike, just in our driveway. She show either complete trust that we will stop her or no fear. She just drives straight down and thinks it is so much fun.

Jadelyn also know that the helmet is to protect her from doing crazy dangerous things. I know that going down a little slide is not dangerous. But this was just the start. She started climbing all over the play sets and standing on the highest point she could. She has a love for life that is awesome to see. She can make things fun and exciting. Of course I just love my little girl!

Baby Bessing

Saturday my mom and Michele threw us a fantastic shower! Family and friends came. I feel blessed to have so many people that love us and choose to give us presents. It was a wonderful time.
Me and my prego belly
Just one of the many blessing we received.
Some one suggested that Jadelyn get a present from the baby as to feel included. She got a much needed helmet since she is crazy on her bike. She was so excited that Kody got her a helmet. She kept telling Kody thank you and trying to kiss my belly. It was so cute!

Did not see much of Jadelyn since she had her cousins and friend to play with. They got along so well together. So sweet to see them play.

The Kilgore side of the family! Those girl cousins sure do get along
The Russell side, so nice to have both of my newest nephews together! Those boys are going to be triple trouble in a little while!
I know I win on who has the bigger belly=)
How can I pass up a face like this!?

EEG

Last week Jadelyn went in for an EEG. It is a test they did at the hospital. The doctor wanted to do another one to see how things looked now. She was a trooper and had to stay up later at night and get up earlier with no nap, because they want her to sleep during the test. She was super tired as you can tell but did great.
I loved the test because she falls asleep in my arms and I get to hold her close.
She brought Tad in to help her sleep
The tech put all the wires on her head and then wrapped her head to keep everything on.
Can I go to sleep now?

The test results came back good. There is nothing that they can tell that is causing the seizures. The doctor said that her medication should be able to control the seizures. Great news!!
