Warm October

Who would have thought that in October Jadelyn would be outside playing in a pool. I had just packed it up thinking that we would not be using it any more this year, but Kyle bought it back out one warm day and she is in love with it. She will just sit in it without water.

If there is no water in the pool, buckets of water work just fine. She came in soaking wet and did not want to stop playing with the water. Crazy!

The other day it was windy here and Jadelyn had a good attitude so we took some pictures. It has been awhile since I have gotten her to smile for the camera. Just love how photogenic she can be.

Just a cute picture.

Jadelyn.....

has an announcement to make. (Read her shirt.)

Yep I am pregnant. I am 10 weeks today with a due date of May 14th. This has been one reason why there has been so few blogs. This pregnancy has been very different from Jadelyn. One reason we waited to tell people was to make sure everything is going well. We have had ultrasounds showing a good heart beat and movement! Yippeee! I have been feeling good, with very little morning sickness. What a blessing we have coming!

Jadelyn hats and her daddy

Jadelyn loves hats. I have been blessed that I haven't had to buy many clothes for her, but when I shop for her I love find her hats on clearance. When the rodeo came to town awhile back Kyle took Jadelyn on a date night and spoiled her with a new cowgirl hat. He could not resist getting it for her.

Kyle is still not driving, but the benefit is having him around during the day. Jadelyn loves hanging out with Daddy and will try find him if she knows that he is home.
Outside and enjoying the fresh air
Jadelyn wanted to see my rings, so Kyle put them on her finger and told her that no one else could have her until they give her a ring and have his approval.
Jadelyn belongs only to her Daddy

Jadelyn is not much of a cuddlier so we love very one we get. She was loving her Daddy this day.

Cousins

Yesterday Kyle's sister and her two girls came to visit. Jadelyn always loves hanging out with her cousins. It was a nice day hanging out together.

Pumpkin Patch

Kyle is back to working a split shift. It is hard on the family, but he is great and tries to take us out when he is not sleeping during the day. So we decided to head out to Oak Glen for some crisp mountain air. While we were there we picked our own pumpkins!! Jadelyn had so much fun. She was running around and trying to pick up pumpkins. It was a very fun afternoon.

What a nice fall picture of my two loves

Catching up

Wow things have been a little crazy around here. One weekend Kyle and I went on a couples retreat and had a great time. We came home to a sick little girl who then passed it on to us. So we missed two cousins birthday parties the next weekend. It was a nasty little bug.

So of my good friends having a good time

So here are a few things that have happening:
We bought Jadelyn an inexpensive costume for Halloween. She loves wearing it around. She makes a cute little giraffe.

In the mean time I have taking a photography class with a friend and learning so much more this time about my camera. Here a some pics I took for my class

We had three Russell cousins come and visit for an evening. We had so much fun. Jadelyn was loving having her cousins around that she did not want to go to bed.

Some cute pics of Jadelyn having fun in the backyard.

What I am learning

Jadelyn went to see her Pediatrics Neurologist yesterday. So here is the news: due to the definition of epilepsy, having two or more seizures, Jadelyn has epilepsy. The seizures Jadelyn has been having themselves are not harmful but due to her falling or getting hurt while having a seizure is a problem. Therefore she is going to kept on anti-seizure medication. Hopefully a year after her last seizure (so hopefully a year from now) the doc will be able to evaluate her to determine if she is ready to be taken off the medication. If not then most children who have childhood seizures grow out of the by puberty.
As a mom my heart is still heavy with worry of if there is going to be another. How can I protect her and keep her from getting hurt? Here is what I have to do...realize that she is a gift from God and I have been given her for the time she is here. To love her and teach her about God.
Second Trust. Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Pro 3:5. I need and have to trust God that His ways are better then my ways. I don't understand why this is happening to Jadelyn. But that is not the point... He wants me to trust Him in ALL things.
Third is not to worry. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matt 6:34. Worrying will not change anything. He will provide what is needed.
Forth during this trial I must rejoice and know that He is molding me into His character. Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2-4 I need to realize that she is doing well and that she has not gotten hurt in any of her seizures. She is a normal developing kid, which some parent would love to have. Rejoice in the positive things.
Fifth I need to ask for wisdom in dealing with the situation. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. I need wisdom to know how to handle situations with her. Wisdom in letting go. Wisdom in raising a child.
I hope this will sever has reminder to me of how Great, Powerful and Good my God is.
