Weekend with our niece

For our niece’s birthday present we gave her a day with us doing what she wants. I am not sure who had more fun. I love giving presents like this!!! Mckenna asked to spend the night (our first overnight guest!!) and to go to the Living Desert. We pick her up and went to a local church that was selling pumpkins. Jadelyn was not impressed with the pumpkins but thought the hay was more interesting. Of course, Jadelyn didn't want to smile for the camera. Mckenna ran around and loved playing. We had a ton of fun!!

The next morning we headed out early. Jadelyn loved having a friend in the back seat with her. We first headed to feed the giraffes, at Mckenna’s request. We had no complaints. We love feeding them too, but watch out for their 18 in tongues and the slime. Mckenna had so much fun, but Jadelyn was not to sure about the long necked animal. We had a ton of fun seeing animals, everything from cheetahs to butterflies. We ended our time there playing at the park. Wow so much fun!!
After the park we went to McDonald’s, every kid’s kind of fun! Then on to the Dinosaurs in Cabazon!! What a fun day!! Thanks Mckenna for a great day.

Time, wind and dress

Time seems to be flying by right now. Some days are busy and other just relaxing (but those days seem to more of a blur, not too much to remember). It was cooler here last week plus we have the gale force Santa Ann winds. The winds might make life interesting. We have heard a pastor tells stories that had me a little concerned. But now with the warm weather the cares have slipped away.
Jadelyn received several every cute dresses that were too large for her and thought I would never see her in them. So with the weather warm I put her in them when I can and of course take pictures.
Here are some pictures of the good times.

Birthday Bash

This past weekend our niece had her 3rd birthday party!! It was a wonderful time. It was beautiful day for a party. The party was at a great park. Wow a kid’s paradise. Tons of slides, play things and swings. Did you say swings? Jadelyn loves swings and usually screams when you take her off. Her Daddy has put her to sleep on a swing. So what did the day mean for us? Church in the morning, where Jadelyn went through one outfit, at the party she ate and was a mess, outfit number two. It was cooler when we left so I did not pack the right clothes, so she was in a long sleeve oneies, saying Perfectly Spoiled by Grandma, and white little shoes. She strutted her chubby little thighs. After the party we went back to Kyle’s sister house for a great BBQ (Thanks David!!) and to watch sports. What a wonderful time spent with family!
Swing time! Look at my teeth!

6 months

Wow!! I think I say that every time she turns another month older. She is wonderful, full of smiles and laughter. She is contagious with happiness. She loves to get everyone to smile at her. She is sitting up well by herself, although she would not let me get any good ones of her doing so. She is on her tummy a lot, but she is still working on crawling. I am almost thankful, because once she does there is so much to get into=) I am loving all the time that I get to spend with her. She is changing and learning to do so many things all the time. She is becoming more and more of a little person. Of course Kyle can't wait for the weekends to spend time with the family. He loves his girls!
So here are a few shots I took in our backyard.

A trip to see Jadelyn's new cousin!!

Yesterday Kyle got the day off so we headed off to see our wonderful 2 day old niece Elizabeth!! She is beautiful and healthy and mom is doing great. (Would never have thought she just gave birth!) We had a great time hanging out and getting to hold her. After seeing what a 7 1/2 lbs baby looks like, mine is so grown up.

How Precious!! She is so cute!! Good job Joe and Kim!

Jadelyn is not sure of what to think. She would start to cry every time Elizabeth would.

We took Jadelyn and Michael to the swings. We were getting Michael ready for a companion next to him. He was a great helper. When Jadelyn would drop her toy he would pick it up and give it to her. He is so sweet. And they were adorable. They both would be outside all the time if they could. They had a great time!

A cute picture of Jadelyn on the swing. Uncle Joe is pointing out the warning for some reason.

Here is our happy family. It is always great when Kyle is home and we have fun together.

Park and plants

Kyle has been wanting to get some plants for awhile. Having nice living plants instead of a jungle or dead ones. seems fantastic. After many weeks of cutting, clearing and several trips to the dump there was finally space for new ones. He found a place where they sell only California natives. They need very little watering and care to survive. The place is very close to my brother Joe and his wife Kim's place. (Today she should be giving birth to my niece!!! Can't wait to hear the good news!!) So we spent a few hours with them. They have a park right around the corner. I wnet armed with a camera this time. We had a great day!! P.S. I also have other great news my youngest brother proposed last night!!! Welcome to the family Ellen!!!
What a climber. If you look closely Jadelyn is holding herself up.
Everyone had fun at the park!
Yes Jadelyn had bark in her month.

Here are a few of the plants that he has already planted...the same day he got them.

The Park and cute pictures

Today I pulled out the jogging stroller (Thank you my friends at King)!! I put it all together and out we went the dog too. I just needed to get out and get some sun. We just walked and ended up at a park. I put her in a swing and down the slide! She was having so much fun. Sorry no pictures =(. I love the stroller and when it gets cooler there will be many days at the park. But here are some cute pictures of her!
You caught me! (she ended up rolling over in her crib for the right time.)

Look at me!!
