Mammoth

Back in early September we had our annual trip to Mammoth with Kyle's parents.  Always beautiful and always fun.
We stop by Manzanar relocation camp.
Hanging around the camp fire at night was always fun.
Enjoy a roast marshmallow in her jammies!
My kids love doing dishes on vacation.  This was a very cold morning.
We have been telling Jadelyn that when we are in Mammoth we would take her horse backing riding. So this time she was all excited.  The best part that Kody was able to ride too!

I think everyday we spent time fishing.  Kody and Jadelyn loved fishing.  After they were on the line Jadelyn wouldn't get close.  Kody on the other hand didn't care.
One day we rented a pontoon to take out on the lake.  The kids loved they were fishing and that they were on a boat.  Jadelyn caught the fish and biggest fish of the day!

Another day the boys took this little boat out.  Couldn't believe that Kody last 4 hours!!  He didn't even complain.  His love of boats, since that day and only grown!

While the boys were on the boat us girls walked around, and Jadelyn loved riding her bike.

The catch from the boat ride.
We love the beauty at Mammoth.  The beautiful lakes, waterfalls and the great hikes.

Train time

One Sunday we told a little walk in a wash near by to watch trains. It was a beautiful day!  It is becoming so much fun to get out with the kids.  They are able to do more walking by themselves.  Plus it is so much fun to see them discover life.
The kids love waving and receiving/hearing the train whistle
Jadelyn loves train watching.  She would do it everyday and never get tired of it
Just watching

What handsome boys I have
So handsome and so grown up
My beautiful girl
Kody had so much fun doing his own thing.  He loved shuffling his feet in the dirt and just wondering around.

Wild

We had planned on going to the Wild Animal Park the 30th but at the last minute, Kyle as told he had to work that day. So we changed plans and after church we headed down, taking Michele with us.  The weather was to be rainy and fortunately it was not that bad.  As the day went along it did get cold. Overall it was a great day, filled with memories.
Jadelyn one streamed on the Merry-go-around, freaked her and Kody out.  This time Jadelyn said she would like it and not scream.  Thankful that was true.  And Kody enjoyed it too.

Jadelyn loved it so much that she would not let me stand by her!

Kody has been losing shoes since the day he started wearing them.  He lost one at a big Christmas event, when he first started walking.  The place found it and we got it back the next day.  Another time was at the zoo when we were getting on a top of double decker bus.  Again we were able to get it back quickly.  This time we were not so fortunate.  This time the shoe was dropped into an animal habitat. They told us that they would not be able to get it and that they would have to mail it back to us.  Oh how laughed at the places that Kody loses his shoes!  Thankfully they did find it and mailed it back.  Kody was so happy to have his shoe back.

Having fun.  Not having a shoe didn't stop Kody.
Love the smiles!

So pretty.

Train ride

We had the incredible opportunity to take a train ride. A friend volunteers to drive a train to pick up some City of Hope kids and their families, through Make a Wish Foundation, and take them on a ride. Jadelyn had been excited about it since we were invited and told everyone she knew that she was going on a train ride.  Kody understood when we got on the ride how much fun it was going to be.  He sat looking out the window the whole time.  They had a theme for each one of the cars and had them all decorated.

They had someone come by and do balloons for all the kids.  Jadelyn got a blue butterfuly
They had a crown, need I say any more, and by the Kody and Kyle's look it says it all
They gave the kids a stuffed bear.  It has been Jadelyn's favorite toys since the ride
