Oh Baby

Life is still getting back to normal, but I am not sure it will ever truly be normal again. I have found that spending time with Jadelyn and Kyle has been more of a priority. There has been so much that has gone on since the 1st of January in our lives.

For one I have a new nephew, Elijah . While we were dealing with Jadelyn's seizures my sister gave birth to a healthy and handsome little guy! We finally were able to meet him last week and it was a joy to see him!!! Jadelyn has been talking about him since the day Kris told us his name. She was excited to meet him for the first time but a little unsure about holding him.

My dear sweet friend put on a church baby shower for me. It was a little crazy since it was the Sunday right after we were home. But I was told from the people there that they have been praying for us. I saw the blessing of a wonderful church.

Kyle took last week off to help Jadelyn adjust back to being home and all that happened. So he took the opportunity to work on the baby's room with the help of his parents and Jadelyn they were able to get the room ready! Jadelyn wanted to be around and help Kyle as much as possible.

Gingerbread Competition

Last weekend our church had their annual Gingerbread/creation competition. It is a fun time hanging out with everyone and seeing the creative juices flow. This year we decided to make a waterfall out of crackers and an assortment of candy. It was fun to see Jadelyn getting involved and helping out as much as a 2 year old can. What a fun time!

Eggstravaganza

For three years our church as done an Eggstravaganza, crafts, a skit and an egg hunt at a local school we meet at. For the past two years we have helped. It is a great way to share with the community the message of Easter.
The set up for the day requires an early start. Grandma Michele was so wonderful in taking our little one for the night so we can help out. We thought it would be great so she would get more sleep. But she was up at 5am with Grandma. Good thing she is an early riser too.

Ginger bread creations

Our church has an awesome tradition of having a ginger bread creation competition each year. It is a great time hanging out and having fun. This year we tried to build a bridge out of graham crackers, icing and candy. With the help of our little one.

Beach trip

This past Sunday our church had a beach trip!! We were blessed to have Kyle's whole immediate family join us!!! We had a great time. What a blast!

Backyard Bible Club

Last week our church had Backyard Bible Club, basically VBS (Vacation Bible School). It was so much fun but very tiring. It reminded me of my camp days.

Jadelyn had a great time. She loved all the older kids who would play with her afterward. They would walk her around and enjoy her.

Someone took pictures of all the kids and gave them a frame. Since Jadelyn did not want to sit by herself it is of the two of us.
