In October we go camping with Kyle's family at San Clemente. I love that the cousins get to come and camp with us!

May Vacation

Kyle's aunt got married last month in the San Luis Obispo area. We decided to make a little vacation out of it. It was a great time to hang out near the beach and do fun things.  We stayed with Jim and Michele for a few days and then got a hotel.  The kids loved the hotel.

Kody fell off a kids picnic bench at the wedding and his cheek hit a cement curbing.  Poor guy.  He was a champ out it.   After the wedding we headed to the beach.

 One day we headed to Moro Rock and Montana De Oro.

 We had visited family who stayed at Legoland Hotel and Jadelyn that it was the coolest thing in the world.  She had been asking about hotels in the past, but this was her first time we stayed at one.  I was a little concerned that she may not find it so fun because it was not like Legoland.  Thankful she thought it was great!!  She loved having a room that was just for us.  There was a water feature, bridge and pool!  Those definitely helped!

Took a walk across a wooden bridge to get to a shopping center.  Jadelyn used her coins so her and Kody could ride!  They had so much fun!

One day we went to see Kyle's uncle and stopped downtown San Luis Obispo. We saw the mission and a little walk.

There are train tracks by Mark's house, which the kids loved , but sad there were no more trains.  They also loved the turtles he has.  Jadelyn and Kody ate corn on the cob to feed to the turtles. 

Another day we went to see the Elephant Seals.  It was so cool!

It was a great trip. The kids had so much fun. It is always great to get the kids out and see things through their eyes.

Beach Vacation

In April we went camping at San Elijo with my parents.  It was so much fun.  It was nice to go camping with my parents this time.  The weather was nice and cool. We packed the week full of fun activities.
The first day we took the train to San Diego to go to the Maritime Museum.  It was so cool.  There were so many different types of boats and ships there.

We find UPS trucks were we go and the kids seem to be the ones that spot them first!

This is a boat that has been in movies, like Master and Commander and one of the Pirates.  This one was cool it had cannons, hammocks, and bunk beds like the life of a pirate!

 The next day we went down to Point Loma to look at the lighthouse, tide pools and at the end of the day we took a hike.

At the tide pools.  The kids had so much fun playing in the water and looking for things in the water.

At the end of day we could go to the beach and watch the sunset.

The next day we went to the Scrips Aquamarine and Torry Pines

The kids loved the aquamarine.  There was so many fun things for the kids to do.

A nice little hike at the end of the day.  There are train tracks near by.  The kids loved watching the trains.

Camping at the Beach

For the past two years we have gone to the beach with Kyle's parents who camp there. Again this year we camped.  Jadelyn loves hanging out with her cousins and going to the beach.  Kody is an outdoors kid and loved it.  Nothing was going to slow him down from having fun.  He did his best to keep up with the older kids. 
Both of Kyle's sisters and their kids came down.  It was so much fun.  We look forward to next year.

Since I have known Kyle I have never seen him surf or snowboard.  It was awesome to see the things he loved to do.  He said he gave them up for his new life.  What a man.
