Camping in Mammoth at the end of September was a different experience than our times before. It was much colder and not as many people were there. As for the weather we just dressed for the cold. As for the people it was nice not to have neighbors camping either side of you. It felt as if we had the place to ourselves. It also meant you could drive places and not have tons of people around you.
We started off early in the morning, as we always do-hoping Jadelyn would fall sleep for most of the car ride. That was not the case, she was awake for most of the 5 hour drive. Entertaining herself for the most part. She was extremely good.

Out for a stretch and so happy to be going camping
Of course there are bears in Mammoth so frequently Jadelyn would climb into the bear box and pretend to be a bear. While in there she would find the drinks pull them out and give one to everyone.

Since her clothes did not dry out we put her in a jacket, which she loved and she went back like that.
For the most part fishing was great everyday. In the afternoon we would all head over to a lake. Kyle and Jim did the fishing while Jadelyn loved helping them and just playing by the water. Jim caught a couple of big fishes while there, but in all we had more fish then we knew what to do with. Fish was severed with a couple of meals.
There is a fish hatchery a few miles away. Jadelyn loved feeding the fish. They would jump every time she would drop food in. She wanted to kept doing it over and over making sure all the fish got food.
