December

Here are a few things we did in December.
As we normally do we wait for Kayla and Trista came out to help decorate ours and Michele's Christmas tree. This was the first year that we had to buy the tree before they came. We had an undecorated tree for a while so we could at least enjoy the Christmas spirit. That same night the kids wanted to go into the hot tub. The next day we all decorated ginger bread houses. While the girls were out they kept saying they have never been in the snow.  So we took them up to the mountains to at least play in it!
The kids, myself and my parents went to see a place where a whole street decorates with lights.  The kids loved the lights.

Jadelyn loved taking pictures...wonder where she gets it from=)

This is from our trip to the Mission Inn lights in Riverside.  The kids love it and ask to go back every year.
This year Christmas Eve was at Grandma Ruth's house. Kyle usually comes late.  This year the route he was on was over by her house so he took a break there.  All the kids loved having him there.

Kyle took all the kids out to his truck.  They had a great time.
Aunt Karan read a Christmas story to the kids.  So cool to see their family tradition being shared with all the cousins too.

Pen Pal

Michele has had a pen pal, Mirta, for 50 years and ever meet. In November they had a chance to meet. It was so much fun to get to know her and hang out.

Michele and Mirta

We decided to go whale watching with Mirta.  The kids loved being on a boat and being together.

Beach camping.

In October we go camping with Kyle's family at San Clemente. I love that the cousins get to come and camp with us!
Sitting around the camp fire!

Enjoying a morning walk on the beach

The kids love getting buried by Kyle.
It never got old!
Steve and Kyle surfing.  It was so cool to watch them

There is a tradition that they have a morning walk in their jammies

What trip would be complete without a picture of Kody washing the dishes.

I am going back and trying to post all the things that we have done since summer that I have not written about.
Hanging with the cousins and enjoying  grandmas hot tub
Enjoying the little league games.

Swim lessons
We went to grandma house to watch the meteor shower.  We slept out on the deck.  Unfortunately we really did see any.

Playing duck-duck- goose.  They had to use their imagination to get more players!
Playing baseball in the backyard!

July 4th - updated

This year we were able to make our trip to the Pinnacles on the 4th! We love watching the fireworks from the top and enjoy the company that goes as well. So glad that Gabe, Tim, Ellen, the boys and Danny could all go to.Jadelyn loved having everyone along. She wanted to hold Tim and Ellen's hand and would talk to her cousins. This year Jadelyn walked all the parts she could!!! What a great hiker she is and she did the hard downhill part in the dark!!! What a trooper!
Kody started off strong and only lasted about 1/4 mile.  But he sure was excited to go!

Hanging out with Uncle Timmy and Malcolm

The gang
The verse is still there from the last time we went.  And Jadelyn got another picture
What a cutie!!
Enjoying the view

There are some sunset views and the city lights as it is getting dark.

We are already looking forward to next year.  What a great hike, great company and a great way to watch fireworks by yourself!
